DonateKitsap is a full service company, licensed for moving and diposal. We can transport all items besides hazardous waste and livestock. Service teams are trained in moving of heavy and delicate items (i.e. Pianos, artwork, glass cabinets). Contact 206-902-6092 if you have any questions or requests, we're glad to assist you.
1. Donations are sold by DonateKitsap to fund services and initiatives.
2. Donations are dispersed to charities in Kitsap and neighbors in need through DonateKitsap Drives.
3. Donations are posted for free.
4. If unclaimed, donations are recycled or disposed.
DonateKitsap has local partnerships with Habitat for Humanity ReStore® of Kitsap County and Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island.
Our priority is to Donate and Recycle as much as possible to keep reusable items and materials out of landfills. If anything we pickup is reusable, acceptable at local donation centers, or recyclable material, we guarantee to handle your items accordingly. More info
At your request, DonateKitsap can transport and disperse donations to organizations of your preference and provide tax receipts.
Payment is made upon completion of service. For donation pick and junk removal, no deposit is needed. For moving services, $100 deposit is needed to book your move. We accept check, cash, venmo, zelle, and card. There is a 3% additional cost for all card payments.
MOVING
1. All local moves in Kitsap are charged at an hourly rate. Your moving estimate is based on how many movers you need and how long it will take them to successfully complete your move. We start the clock when we arrive to your location and we stop it when we are completely finished at the final location. We guarantee that our movers will work hard to get your move done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. If you click the ‘Pricing’ tab on you can view our pricing structure.
2. We require a 1-hour minimum. All time past the 1-hour minimum is pro-rated to the minute. This means we never round up to the nearest half hour or hour. We will only charge for exactly how long the move takes to complete after the 1-hour minimum.
3. The formula to calculate you move total is (Hourly Rate X Total Time on the Job) For example, if you have a 2-man crew at $160/hr and your move takes 2 hours and 45 minutes your labor total would be $440.00 ($160/hr X 2.75hrs =$440.00).

Correctly preparing for your move will greatly help keep costs down and stay in your budget. The better prepared you are for us, the less time it will take. We recommend disassembling any furniture and cleaning/organizing as best as possible before our mover’s arrival. Additionally, having loose items neatly and securely packed into boxes prior to our arrival will prevent our crew from spending time doing this on your behalf. Also, make sure that our crew can easily access your home so that additional hauling (and time) is not required.
1. There is a $25-$75 one-time travel cost within Kitsap County, per truck. The reason for this cost is to compensate for time and fuel, when traveling to and from service locations.
2. If one of your moving locations is outside of Kitsap County, the travel cost is $1.50 per mile, round trip. For example, it is approximately 60 miles from Bainbridge to Tacoma (center city to center city). This equals 120 miles round trip (120 miles X $1.50 = $180). The travel cost for this move would be $180.00.
This is completely up to you! We recommend you tip based on your overall satisfaction with our service and the friendliness of our moving crew.
Absolutely! If you don’t need our truck you can request 2+ movers based on an hourly rate for your move. The rate for hiring movers without a truck is $75/hour per mover.
